Ok, please allow me to add something to this since I'm soon to be a divorced woman sans children.
Don't we agree that life is for living not for "just surviving". I have to wonder to myself; "what is the difference between those who lick their wounds after the dissolution of a marriage then rejoice in the reawakening of the soul to once again embrace life and love?" There is no mystery about coupling, marriage or co-habitation with someone we can't stand to be away from; Its simply wonderful.
- What some may have forgot is that you can have it all again; you should want it all again or something is wrong.
I have enjoyed reading the blog but somewhere along the way, you stopped talking about Men.
I'm not sure why?
Where are the men in your life?; you are free to be with men and to be in love or not; to have great sex or incredibly great sex. Many move on and eventually find someone that is more spectacular than you thought conceivable and they meet your child or children and life moves on, you move on; everybody moves on.
Its 2010.
What's stopping you?
keep writing the blog. Its good writing.

Funny I should read this today. Our 3rd son's birthday start in exactly 3 min., and for me, birthdays have been the hardest part about being apart. We aren't nearly as amicable as you and R, and for me, that brings a certain sadness. Christmas didn't bother nearly as much as your children's birthdays, b/c their birthdays are celebrations of their birth, celebrations of a time when we were together and of a life that wouldn't exist if not for the two of us.
